Where nature meets technology. Connected as one.
NatureChain’s mission is focused on creating a more sustainable, transparent and integrated agribusiness system.
In regions like Puglia and Campania, the agri-food sector faces critical inefficiencies: fragmented supply chains, poor traceability, and limited access to technology hinder sustainability and transparency. As consumer demand for ethical, eco-friendly products grows, local producers struggle to keep pace without digital innovation.

The solution
NatureChain implements three new technologies to solve issues that have been found in the agribusiness supply chain
001
Blockchain
Blockchain will be used to ensure full traceability of agri-food products from farm to market.
Each phase of the supply chain (harvest, processing, transport, distribution) will be recorded in an unalterable digital ledger. This provides consumers with instant access to in-depth information on the origin of products and manufacturing processes, making them more assured of the process and even the products themselves.
Moreover, all transactions (e.g., sale or transfer) will be performed through smart contracts, which ensure automation and security of transactions.
002
Internet of Things (IoT)
IoT sensors will be deployed in fields and farms to measure various parameters round-the-clock and in real-time, such as soil moisture levels, ambient temperature, light intensity, and health of the crop.
Sensors will collect data and upload it onto the Nature Chain platform so that farmers may gain a good understanding of growth conditions and respond appropriately if need arises.
In addition, IoT will be applied in logistics (warehouses and transportation) for tracking products while in transit so that it is possible to improve the supply chain more sustainably and efficiently.
003
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI will analyze the data collected from IoT sensors and blockchain ledgers to provide accurate forecasts of future product demand.
Using advanced algorithms, the platform can suggest production, distribution, and inventory optimization to reduce waste.
AI will also be used to optimize energy and water efficiency, suggesting solutions to enhance the use of natural resources (e.g., better water use in agriculture).
